In 2006, I continued to coach; working with the Walton Cross Country team in the fall again as well as doing some sport specific performance coaching. My work with the Walton Cross Country Team in the fall, as well as the Pace Academy swim team in the pas, has really increased my desire to share some of my athletic experiences with other athletes in hopes that they can learn from my successes, as well as my many mistakes!

I would love to help shorten the learning curve for others as there have been many times in my athletic career where I spent so much time trying to figure out how to fix a problem (usually an injury of some sort) that I lost a lot of valuable time. While I know that different things work for different athletes, I am hopeful that I can share experiences and information that can help in some way.

Just like last year, I had a wonderful time working with the high school kids at Walton. I feel so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to run with such a special group of runners as well as coach along side a fantastic coaching staff. I learned so much from all of them! We had a very successful season overall.

While the team accomplishments are awesome, I think it is the fun times and memories that these kids provide all of us coaches with that stand out the most in my mind. Coaching high school runners is incredibly rewarding. There is never a dull moment. Most of the time the runners have me laughing with their funny comments and antics, but on a serious note, they also inspire me with their hard work and determination.
